Design: It is shaped like the letter "T" and has three openings, usually of the same diameter, positioned at right angles to each other.
Material: Typically constructed from durable and corrosion-resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polypropylene, ensuring a long life expectancy.
Connection Mechanism: The push-fit (or quick-connect) technology uses internal gripping mechanisms, such as a collet and O-ring, to form a secure, leak-free seal on the inserted pipe.
Installation: Installation is straightforward: the user simply pushes the squared-off end of the pipe into the fitting until it seats securely. Disconnection involves pushing in an outer ring (collet) and pulling the pipe out.
Pressure and Temperature Ratings: Standard PVC push-fit fittings are ideal for cold and moderate temperature water applications and can handle typical household water pressures, but are generally not recommended for hot water lines.
