PP Solid Ball Valve White
General Description & Specifications
The 160mm (which is approximately 6 inches) solid ball valve is designed for reliable and efficient fluid control in large diameter piping systems.
- Material: The body is typically made from high-quality Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) or Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride (UPVC) and sometimes Polypropylene (PP), offering excellent resistance to rust, corrosion, acids, alkalis, and salts.
- Design: It features a solid ball construction for maximum strength and often a full bore design, ensuring unrestricted, smooth flow of media to minimize pressure loss.
- Operation: The valve is manually operated via a sturdy long or short handle which requires a simple 90-degree (quarter-turn) rotation to open or close the flow.
- Connection: Available with various end connections, including plain (socket) for solvent welding or threaded (NPT/BSPT) ends, and sometimes flanged options, to suit different piping configurations.
- Pressure Rating: Typically designed for medium pressure applications, with ratings often around PN10 (10 Bar or 150 PSI), though specific product ratings can vary (some go up to 16 kg/cm² or 235 PSI).
- Temperature Resistance: Suitable for use with media at moderate temperatures, generally up to 60°C to 82.2°C (140°F to 180°F), depending on the specific PVC or CPVC compound.
