Description and Function

The primary function of a plug bush is to provide a leak-proof and secure closure in a drip irrigation system.

Sealing Function: Its main use is to stop the flow of water from new connections or to permanently or temporarily close a pipe end. This ensures uniform water pressure throughout the system and prevents water wastage.
Prevents Contamination: By sealing the open end of a pipe, the plug bush prevents dirt, debris, and contaminants from entering the irrigation system, which could cause blockages in drippers and emitters.
Facilitates Maintenance: The design (often push-fit or threaded) typically allows for easy installation and removal, making it simple to flush the pipe to clear out accumulated impurities during maintenance.
Material: They are commonly made from durable, UV-stabilized plastics such as polypropylene (PP) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC), making them resistant to corrosion, chemicals, and outdoor environmental conditions.
