Size Compatibility: Specifically designed for pipes with a 15mm (approx. 1/2 inch) outer diameter. Note that 16mm is a more common standard for some "Pepsi" or lateral lines, but 15mm is standard for many CPVC or specific LDPE systems.
Material: Most commonly manufactured from high-grade Polypropylene (PP), PVC, or ABS plastic. These materials are UV-stabilized to withstand prolonged sunlight exposure without becoming brittle.
Connection Types:
- Barbed/Push-Fit: Tubing is pushed over a barb for a secure, tool-free friction fit.
- Locking/Compression: Features a screw-on nut that compresses the pipe against the fitting for higher pressure resistance.
- Threaded: Often used for CPVC or rigid pipe setups where the cap screws directly onto a threaded pipe end.
